Strade Maestre/ Pasolinacci and Pasolini - our Pier Paolo

The title clearly refers to the 1966 film "Uccellacci e uccellini", in which Marco Martinelli and Ermanna Montanari, founders of Teatro delle Albe, see the spiritual testament of the great Bolognese intellectual. "Pasolinacci e Pasolini - il nostro Pier Paolo" is a listening performance, which travels on a double register. On one side the enthusiastic and vital one of Martinelli, who recalls his youthful encounter with Pasolini's poetics in the spring of 1977 in a provincial cinema. On the other side, gloomy and sorrowful, Montanari's sharp voice takes up some of the fragments of the 1964 poem 'Una disperata vitalità', where Pasolini prefigures his death. These are the two faces of the same complex personality that intersect, merging into each other only to split and diverge in opposite directions. On stage, next to the two artists from Ravenna, Daniele Roccato's double bass accompanies the spectators from time to time in the light or in the shade, with pieces such as 'Bella Ciao' or from the repertoire of Johan Sebastian Bach.
