All crazy for Ilva

"Is there a psychiatrist in the room?" is the recurring plea for help from a worker, a writer, a man and his inability to be all these identities at once. In 'Tutti pazzi per l'Ilva' Giuse Alemanno, blue overalls by necessity and writer by vocation, recounts his years in the factory at the former Ilva in Taranto in a play. For the first time, Alemanno shares his experience in the steel giant on the Ionian Sea, that Ilva seen through the eyes of a metalworker and described in the words of a seasoned novelist. Points of view do not always converge, bitter considerations, food for thought. On stage with Giuse Alemanno is Stefano Zizzi, actor, humourist and animator of Teatro Minimo di Taranto, which produces this 40-minute one-act play. "Tutti pazzi per l'Ilva" is an original and courageous text, a true theatrical reading, hard and poignant, which makes us reflect with its many questions, but it is also a vision of Taranto, a city of sea, culture, dreams and deaths at work. In its own way, an act of love.
