Camerata Musicale Salentina/ Nicola Piovani

"I don't remember a single moment in my life when there wasn't music," says Nicola Piovani, taking stock of his 40-year career between notes and piano. The 1999 Oscar-winning composer for the soundtrack to 'La vita è bella' traces it all in 'Note a margine', a concert scheduled for the 54th Season of the Camerata Musicale Salentina at the Apollo Theatre. The artist takes the audience by the hand and, together with Marina Cesari's saxophone and Marco Loddo's double bass, goes back in time with a narration on the edge of the score where the poetry and little quirks of Federico Fellini, the peculiar genius of the Taviani brothers and then Vincenzo Cerami and all the music that has permeated the most beautiful films of recent years meet. Experiences, anecdotes, memories that Piovani inserts as counterpoints in an intense yet light and sincere show.
Tickets: from 10 to 33 euros.
