European Film Festival
It is "La stazione" (at 6 p.m., room 1), a 1990 film by Sergio Rubini, that closes the "I protagonisti del cinema italiano" section of the European Film Festival, which over the previous evenings has offered the opportunity to look back over his long career as an actor and director. The day, the last of the XXIII edition, continues with a very rich programme.
At 6 p.m. (room 2) the special event is the preview of Massimiliano D'Epiro's film "La prima regola" followed by a meeting with the director and actors Andrea Fuorto, Antonia Fotaras, Haroun Fall, Marius Bizau, Fabrizio Ferracane, and producer Federica Vincenti.
At 6 p.m. (room 5) for the "Cinema and reality" section, there is the preview of "Il fiore in bocca" by Valeria Civardi and Andrea Settembrini. A meeting with the directors follows.
At 6.30 p.m. (room 3), for the homage to French director Claire Denis, "35 Rhums" (2008) will be screened.
At 6.30 p.m. (room 4), "Festival in corto #11", featuring seven short films for a total of 1 hour and 39 minutes: "Secondo me" by Giulia Regini; "Acqua" by Giuseppe Pezzulla; "La sposa" by Dario Di Viesto; "Wind Day" by Enrico Poli; "Storia d'amore e di cipolla" by Alessandro Zizzo; "Sorta nostra" by Michele Sammarco; "I bastardi di northville" by Valerio Mattioli.
At 8.30 p.m. (room 1) the awards ceremony takes place, followed by a homage to Ukrainian cinema with "The white raven" by Maryan Bushan.
At 8.30 p.m. (room 4), the last screening of short films with "Festival in corto #12", with a total of five screenings and 1 hour and 28 minutes: "Lupus in fiaba" by Lorenzo Cassol, Federico Bellotti and Chiara Pieraccioli; "Api furibonde" by Luca Mondellini; "La Mirodia" by Chiara Idrusa Scrimieri; "Spectrum" by Franz Padula; "Matria" by Luciano Toriello.
At 8.30 p.m. (room 5) also the last act of EFA Shorts #5. Five short films for a total of 84 minutes: "Blue fear" by M. Jacotey and L. Halifa-Legrand; "Fall of the ibis king" by J. O'Caoimh and M. Geronimo; "In flow of words" by E. E. Bots; "The news" by L. Terezi; "VO" by N. Gourault.
Finally, at 9.30 p.m. (room 2), the Mario Verdone award ceremony takes place in the presence of his children Silvia, Luca and Carlo, followed by the screening of the winning film.
At 9.30 p.m. (room 3), the winner of the "Ulivo d'oro" competition will be announced, followed by the screening of the winning film.
